MSU's offseason training for the baseball and softball programs improved immensely during the fall of 2007 with the completion of the new hitting/pitching facility adjacent to Kobs Field. The new $1.4 million dollar facility has four batting cages and two pitching mounds which give the Spartans an edge in offseason training.
With an area of 10,900 square feet, the programs have plenty of room to work on their games. In addition, there are coaches' offices and storage room for equipment which makes working out at the facility convenient.
