East Lansing, Mich. - - On Thursday, April 17, Michigan State athletic teams will participate in the "Spartan Student-Athlete Showdown", an annual lip-sync contest (formerly known as the SPYN Awards) that raises money for children's charities. All money benefits the Children's Miracle Network and Sparrow Regional Children's Center.

Tickets are $3 in advance and $5 at the door, and are available at the Jenison Field House Ticket Office. The competition begins at 8 p.m. at Jenison Field House.
