The 2010 Michigan State volleyball team opens up its schedule with the MSU Showcase on Aug. 27-28 in Jenison Field House. The home Big Ten schedule begins on Sept. 24 against Minnesota, the first of three volleyball games at Breslin Center this season.

The Spartan men's and women's soccer programs moved into its new complex, DeMartin Soccer Stadium, during the 2008 season. The new stadium features a 2,500-seat grandstand, press box and practice fields.

Student-Athletes Donate Food for Holiday Food Drive

Dec. 17, 2009 EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State Athletics Department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held its inaugural Holiday Food Drive today (Dec. 17) at the Smith Center. The event was spearheaded by three hockey freshman - Chris Forfar, Matt Grassi, and Torey Krug - with the assistance from members of SAAC. In all, the student-athletes donated 1,023 pounds of food to the Greater Lansing Food Bank for area families in need during the holiday season. Teams went around area communities on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 14 and 15, collecting food for the drive, as well as collected food at drops throughout campus. |
