Peggy Brown is in her 12th year as MSU's Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations where she oversees the financial matters of the 25-sport athletics department. Included in her responsibilities are: budget, accounting, purchasing, payroll, travel coordination and postseason arrangements.
She was promoted to associate athletics director in 2003 after being promoted to assistant athletics director in January of 1994. She has served as the Michigan State athletic business manager since 1991.
Prior to that appointment, Brown served as the administrative assistant for business operations in the department for three years.
Before her initial assignment at MSU, Brown was an auditor in the State of Michigan Office of the Auditor General for two years.
Brown's grandfather, Lyman Frimodig, is a charter member of the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame. The only 10-time letterwinner in Spartan history, he later served his alma mater 41 years as assistant athletics director and business manager. Brown is a 1984 MSU graduate in accounting.
