Michigan State Student-Athletes Receive Academic All-Big Ten Honors

The Big Ten has announced its Academic All-Big Ten teams for fall sports and 33 Michigan State student-athletes are among the honorees. To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten recognition, a student-athlete must be a letterwinner in at least their second academic year at the institution and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

The MSU women's cross country squad, along with the men's and women's soccer teams each placed seven student-athletes on the various squads. Sophomore Leah Nilsson (Williamston) of the women's cross country team paced all Spartan honorees with a 3.93 grade-point average as a no-preference major.
