Spartan Points reward the longevity, loyalty, and generosity of supporters to MSU Athletics. The person with the highest point total will be ranked #1. Donors can receive points for various donations criteria and season ticket holders are rewarded for consecutive years of purchase. Spartan Points will be first implemented with the 2010 Men's Basketball Seat Adjustment and will be utilized to distribute Spartan Fund benefits.
Factors Determining Spartan Points:

| Lifetime Giving to Athletics | 1 point per $100 |
| Lifetime Giving to University | 1 point per $1000 |
| Irrevocable Planned Gift to Athletics | 1 point per $1000 (based on allowable charitable deduction) |
