Junior: Had season-best times in the 200 back (2:05.70) and 100 free (56.35) at the Big Ten Championships...career-best time of 25.98 in the 50 free (1/27)...season-best time of 58.34 in the 100 back at the Notre Dame Invitational. Sophomore: Competed in the 50 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke at the Big Ten Championships...earned record breaker award for setting a new record in the 200 backstroke (2:01.88) on Feb. 20 at Big Ten’s. Freshman: Finished ninth in the 200 backstroke at the 1999 Big Ten Championships...also swam in the 100 back and the 200 and 400 medley relays at the Big Ten’s. High School: A four-year letterwinner, living in New York as a freshman and sophomore before returning to Florida...earned All-America honors in the backstroke as a junior...won state titles in the 100 backstroke in New York (as a sophomore) and Florida (as a junior)...four-year team MVP and co-captain as a senior...also swam for the Monroe Community College Marauders...swam in the high school All-America meet in Colorado. Personal: Born Jan. 24, 1980, she is the daughter of Carol Jones and William Tyler Baldock...mother is a swimming coach and former swimmer...a kinesiology major. |
