Where were you born?
Bay City, Mich.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I was ten I wanted to be...A teacher during the school year then during the summer I wanted to be a cashier at Meijer. Now I want to be...A dolphin trainer/Marine Biologist working with marine mammals.

What is your favorite movie?
Finding Nemo & Legally Blonde.

Why did you choose Michigan State University?
I knew I wanted to swim in college so I had the opportunity to swim here. Plus with the academics, MSU is the closest university with a Zoology major which has a marine biology concentration. Also, I knew I didn't want to go too far away from my family, including my cat.

Who is your favourite MSU athlete of all time?
Alec Mull.

Kathleen Milloy

Jumping off the 10 meter and swimming in the snow freshman year.


What are your goals in life?
Write a novel, hug an otter, swim with Dolphins, and make a discovery.

Junior Season: Swam the Spartans' fastest time of the year (29.90) and placed fourth in the 50 breaststroke at the TYR Invitational (11/22) ... Had a pair of first-place finishes in the 100 (1:06.05) and 200 (2:22.50) breaststroke vs. Purdue (1/17) ... Swam a 1:06.33 which was good for third at the Shamrock Invite (1/24) ... Took second in the 100 breast vs. Michigan (1:06.72) ... Competed at the Big Ten Championships in the 100 and 200 breast.

Sophomore Season: Recorded two first-place finishes in the 200 IM (2:09.88) and 500 free (5:10.39) in a win over Valparaiso (1/11)...Swam to second-place finishes in the 200 breast vs. Iowa (10/26) and 100 breast vs. St. Bonaventure (11/8)...Her 2:07.73 in the 200 IM and 4:23.63 in the 400 IM at the OSU Invitational (11/30) were each good for MSU varsity top-10 times...Was a part of 200 medley relay team that took first place in a dual meet vs. Valparaiso (1/11) and the 400 medley relay team that took first place vs. Oakland (1/25)...Swam the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 breast and 200 breast at the Big Ten Championships.

Freshman Season: Won team's Most Improved Swimmer award ... Notched 10 top-three finishes in three different events ... Opened the season by winning the 200 breast (2:24.82) in MSU's win over Akron (10/20) ... Registered second place swims in the 100 breast (1:06.82) and 200 breast (2:25.62) against Illinois (10/21) ... Scored in two other Big Ten meets, posting a third-place performance in the 100 breast against Iowa (10/28) and a second-place 200 breast swim against Purdue (1/13) ... Closed the regular season by finishing third in the 200 breast (2:24.80) and 200 IM (2:10.99) versus Oakland (1/19).

High School: Four-year letterwinner for coach Tony Bachigalupo ... Earned all-state and Independent Swim Conference Swimmer of the Meet honors twice ... Participated in the YMCA Nationals for two years ... Named team captain and team MVP her senior year ... Swam for the Flint Falcons club team for two years.
