Sophomore: Placed fourth in the 100 breast with school-record time of 54.24 at the Big Ten Championships...helped set school records in the 200 (1:29.22) and 400 medley relays (3:17.05) at the Big Ten Championships...qualified for NCAA Championships in 100 (1:01.96) and 200 breast (2:16.56) where he placed 31st and 30th, respectively...first-team CSCAA Academic All-American...named MSU Swimmer of the Year...represented South Africa and placed 22nd in the 50 breast at the FINA Short Course World Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. on Oct. 10.

Freshman: Set MSU school record in the 100 breast with a time of 54.43...was part of the 200 medley relay team that set school record (1:29.38)...also set school record as part of the 400 medley relay team (3:17.70)...finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships in the 100 breast (54.43)...finished eighth at the Big Ten Championships in the 200 breast (2:01.67)...qualified for NCAA's in 200 breast (2:00.77) where he placed 31st...qualified for NCAA's in 100 breast (54.43) where he placed 33rd.

Prep: Finalist at the 2002 South African Nationals in the 100 and 200 breaststroke...holds personal bests of 1:04.88 in the 100, 2:21.77 in the 200 and 29.25 in the 50 (a South African age-group record).
