Getting to Know Tim Lilja
Where were you born?
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I was ten I wanted to be...a Policeman. Now I want to be...a physical therapist.
What is your favorite movie?
The Matrix Trilogy. Dodging bullets, epic fight scenes, and people's brains hooked up into a system - what is there not to like?!
Why did you choose Michigan State University?
The campus looks amazing no matter what season it is. There are so many trees everywhere and the squirrels are pretty friendly. All my teachers have been pretty awesome, too.
Who is your favorite MSU athlete of all time?
My favorite athlete would have to be Steve Smith. He was an All-American basketball player and was played in the NBA. I think it is great that after his time with the San Antonio Spurs he still helped out Michigan State by donating so much money to help build a new academic center for all MSU student athletes.
Name one person living or dead, that you would most like to compete against?
I'd like to compete against Adolph Kiefer. I think the look on his face would be hilarious when he saw the top times in world now. He might even be more amazed at what type of suits swimmers are wearing now since he is the one who invented the nylon suit.
Top 5 songs on your iPod?
1. What I've Done (Linkin Park)
2. Thanks for the Memories (Fall out Boy)
3. It's Not Over (Daughtry)
4. Hey There Delilah (Plain White T's)
5. Numb (Linkin Park)
Your favorite moment in the outdoor pool?
This would have to be the times we sang the fight song on the 10m diving platform and then jumped off - in 30 degree weather - fun times.
GREEN or WHITE???
Green because there are so many cool things that are green. Grass is green, leaves are green, and the sky during a tornado is green.
If you had a superpower what would it be?
Telekinesis (the movement of objects using psychic powers). I think this power would be very useful when having to lift heavy objects, doing yard work, or even cleaning.
