Men's Swimming Finishes 10th at Big Ten Tournament

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State's men's swimming and diving team finished in 10th place at the Big Ten Championships with a total of 131 points. The University of Minnesota won the competition with 714 points, followed by Michigan with 641 points, and Penn State with 419 points.
On the third day of competition MSU freshman John Munley led the Spartans, advancing to the finals where he finished in 14th place in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 15:41.54. Also finishing in 13th place was freshman Michael Tingley, with a time of 1:49.34 in the 200 backstroke. In the 400 freestyle relay, the MSU team of Munley, senior Adam Pawlick, senior Michael Orris, and sophomore Chad Ganden came in 9th with a time of 3:05.41.
The next competition for the Spartans will be on Sunday, March 8, at the Oly Invite.
