EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State swimming and diving team will host Oakland at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 30) at McCaffree Pool at IM West. The Spartan women will also be in action on Friday in Ann Arbor when they take on Michigan at 7 p.m. Saturday's meet will mark the second consecutive home dual for the Spartan women as they hosted Ohio State last Friday at McCaffree Pool.

"The women are now three weeks out from the Big Ten Championships, so we're getting close," said MSU head coach Matt Gianiodis. "The goal for the women is to perform well in back to back meets. We did a great job last week and really held our own against OSU."

For the Spartan men, it will be their first home dual of the season.

"We will be pretty excited to be at home and we're hoping for a good crowd," Gianiodis said. "Oakland has beaten us two out of the last three times and they have a really nice team, so we we'll be motivated and have our work cut out for us."

The men last competed Jan. 15 at Notre Dame where they defeated the Irish, 179-121, in their best performance of the year.

"The men have had a little bit of a break in competing but have been focused in well and practiced well the last two weeks," Gianiodis said.

Live state for Friday's meet at Michigan are available here.
