I want to thank the many fans who made it to Oakland University on Saturday. We had such a great crowd there and I got to see quite a few alumni in the stands wearing Green and White. It was especially nice for our women's team getting the win.

Saturday marked the final dual meet of the year for the women and now we focus our attention to the Big Ten meet, Diving regionals and hopefully the NCAA's in Indianapolis. We have had a great season to this point and we have really competed well. I am very proud of our women's team and especially the youngsters who have won many events this year.

This Monday, our women's basketball team will be hosting the National Girls and Women in Sports Day game. It will also be the Play 4 Kay game for breast cancer awareness. During the game, we plan to honor Amanda Mercer for her accomplishments last summer. Amanda was the special guest of our department at last year's football game vs. Ohio State. If you are in the area, please come out to the basketball game and honor Amanda and her resiliency.

A reminder that next Saturday's men's meet vs. Michigan will be held at 12 p.m. at the McCafree pool in IM West. It will be senior day for our men's team and we are hoping for a huge crowd.

I posted on our facebook alumni page last week that we need women to play in a foursome at the Varsity Alumni golf outing on June 5. We have our men's foursome set and we need two more players for June. Please let me know if you are interested.

Our awards banquet is all set for April 21. Information regarding the banquet can be obtained by contacting Kathleen Milloy. We hope to see many of you there.
