David Zoltowski Wins President's Award
David Zoltowski takes highest honor on Monday night.
EAST LANSING, Mich. - Senior captain David Zoltowski was named a recipient of the President's Award Monday night at the 2015 Academic Excellence Gala. The President's Award, the night's most prestigious award, was presented to senior golfer Jenny Sritragul and Zoltowski. The award recognizes the male and female graduating senior with the highest cumulative GPA and who has exhausted their eligibility in the 2014-15 school year.
"I was honored to win the President's Award," said Zoltowski. "I am extremely grateful that it gave me the opportunity to address the audience. I have wanted to win that award and get that opportunity since my sophomore year."
Zoltowski, a four-year letterwinner and two-time captain, has been on the Dean's List every semester at MSU. A native of West Lafayette, Indiana, Zoltowski holds a perfect 4.0 GPA majoring in electrical engineering. Zoltowski was awarded the 2015 Churchill Scholarship and 2014 Goldwater Scholarship. In addition to his success in the classroom, Zoltowski is also active in various community outreach events including Teams for Toys, Student-Athlete Food Drive and Relay for Life.
After he graduates from Michigan State, he plans to pursue a doctoral degree in electrical engineering, conducting research combining electrical engineering and neuroscience to advance the knowledge of the brain.
