Last Saturday, we closed down the outdoor pool. It was a seasonably cool day for East Lansing on Nov. 2 and we had our entire team in one final outdoor practice. It was the final MSU long course workout for our seniors and three of them took the plunge off the ten-meter when practice was over - Rachel Wilson, Jacob Jarzen and Mark Gammell. It is hard to believe that another outdoor season has come and gone. We now shift our attention to the short course meets in November where our team will be shaving.

This Friday we will be at Jenison High School to have our annual dual meet vs. Grand Valley State. The meet begins at 6 p.m. and we are really hoping for another big crowd. Once again, meet information can be found at http://www.jenisonaquatics.org.

It was very nice to see Scott Shafer '02 at the pool last Saturday. He dropped by to say hello and it was cool catching up with him and his wife. Saturday was actually my last football Saturday of the year. We will be in Cleveland for the Northwestern game. I want to thank all of our alumni who have allowed me to mooch off their food again this year pre-game. It is always really nice to see everyone in the fall.

Next weekend, we will be traveling to Cleveland to take part in an invitational at Cleveland State. I am hoping that our Northeast Ohio alumni can make the trip out to support the Spartans.

Until next week,
