Men's Track Set for the Len Paddock Invitational
UP NEXT: Saturday
THIS WEEK: The Michigan State men's track and field team will travel to Ann Arbor for its final tuneup prior to next weekend's Big Ten Championships in Champaign, Ill. The Spartans will compete in the Len Paddock Invitational on Saturday, May 17, at Ferry Field on the campus of the University of Michigan.
The first field events begin at 8:30 a.m., while the running events get underway at 12:20 p.m., with the 3,000 meters. The meet's final event begins at approximately 3:55 p.m.
BRONCO INVITATIONAL RESULTS: The Spartans took a limited squad to the non-scoring Bronco Invitational last weekend in Kalamazoo.
Senior Ramsey Watkins (Flint) was a busy runner on Saturday, May 10, competing in three events for the Spartans. Watkins took the top honors in the 110-meter high hurdles with a season-best time of 14.40. He also competed in the 100 and 200 dashes, finishing third (11.14) and second respectively (22.17).
Senior Todd Richman (Kalamazoo) returned to his hometown and turned in a strong performance with a third-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.70.
