Women's Track Set for the Len Paddock Invitational
UP NEXT: Saturday
THIS WEEK: The Michigan State women's track and field team will travel to Ann Arbor for its final tuneup prior to next weekend's Big Ten Championships in Champaign, Ill. The Spartans will compete in the Len Paddock Invitational on Saturday, May 17, at Ferry Field on the campus of the University of Michigan.
The first field events begin at 8:30 a.m., while the running events get underway at 12:40 p.m., with the 3,000 meters. The meet's final event begins at approximately 3:55 p.m.
BRONCO INVITATIONAL RESULTS: The Spartans took a limited squad to the non-scoring Bronco Invitational last weekend in Kalamazoo.
Senior Chandra Burns (Detroit) took top honors in the 200 and 400 meters, both in NCAA provisional qualifying times. Burns crossed the tape in 23.37 in the 200 and posted a time of 53.95 in the 400. Senior Stephanie Dueringer (Champaign, IL) narrowly missed the provisional qualifying time in the 3,000 meters. Dueringer took top honors in the event with a season-best time of 9:45.12.
