The Michigan State track & field team will send 26 individuals to the NCAA East Preliminary Round this weekend in Greensboro, N.C. The competition is being hosted by the University of North Carolina A&T at the Irwin Belk Track inside of Aggie Stadium. Action begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 23 and continues through Saturday, May 25.
The Big Ten Conference office announced its inaugural postgraduate scholarships recipients on Thursday, May 16, a list which includes Michigan State track & field standout Kevin Jackson and women's soccer captain Jordan Mueller.

Led by two gold-medal performances from Antonio James in the discus and Leah O'Connor in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Michigan State continued to pick up speed on the second day of competition at the Big Ten Championships. Held at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium, the Spartans advanced eight athletes to Sunday's finals. The women are now in seventh place with 23 points, while the men sit in eighth with 17 points.
