After winning a gold medal at the North American-Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships last weekend, Michigan State's Tori Franklin was back in action on Saturday at the Pan American Olympic Festival in Mexico City, Mexico.
Michigan State track & field standout Tori Franklin delivered another terrific performance on Saturday evening at the 2014 North America Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia. Franklin competed for the United States in the triple jump and posted a mark of 13.42 meters to finish first overall in the event.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their DI All-Academic honorees for their combined academic and athletic accomplishments on Tuesday. A total of 496 men and 727 women were honored by the USTFCCCA including two men and 11 women for the Spartans.

Michigan State freshman Katelyn Daniels made the most of her first experience in a Spartan uniform this weekend, placing second on the discus throw and third in the shot put at the USATF Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon. With her placement in the discus, Daniels will return to Hayward Field to represent the United States at the IAAF World Junior Championships on July 24-25.
