Academic All-Big Ten Honors Announced for the 2011 Fall Season

Ninty Spartans student-athletes were recognized for having a 3.0 or better GPA.

2010-11:
• Big Ten Distinguished Scholar
OUTDOOR:: Placed first and recorded a personal-best time of 9:04.82 in the 3000m run (Lyle Bennett Invitational) ... Competed in the 1500m at the Spartan Invitational, setting a personal-best time of 4:10.68.
INDOOR: Recorded a personal-best time of 14:53.40 in the 5000m run (Notre Dame Meyo Invitational).

High School:
Was a letterwinner in both track (2006-2009) and cross country (2005-2008) and was the 2009 track captain at Grand Blanc High School ... Was elected all-state in 2008 with a 16th place finish in the cross country state meet ... Finished fourth in the regional meet in 2008 and third in the all-county meet ...
