Spartans Cap Action at Silverston Invitational

Track and Field completed action this afternoon at the Silverston Invitational with several individual victories in sprinting events and a strong team effort from the men and women's throwing squad.

OUTDOOR: Opened the season at the Spartan Invitational, placing second in the shot put, posting a mark of 14.01m ... Also recorded a personal-best distance of 45.42m in the hammer throw, placing fifth (Spartan Invitational) ... Earned first in the shot put at the Lyle Bennett Open, recording a distance of 14.10m ... Posted a distance of 14.93 in the shot put, placing second at the Paddock Invitational ...
