Vaulted a distance of 4.73m for a sixth-place finish at the Sun Angel Track Classic ... Finished fourth in the 4x4 with a time of 3:19.57, seventh in pole vault with a jump of 4.85m, fourth in the high jump with a jump of 2.05m, and fourth in the 110H with a time of 14.85 ... At the Drake Relays he ran the 400 in 51.55, the 1500 in 4:53.23, high jumped a 2.04m, ran the 100 in 11.43,vaulted a distance of 4.85m, long jumped a distance of 6.52m, had a javelin throw of 46.79m, discus throw of 35.90m, shot put a distance of 13.51m, and ran the 110H in 14.89 seconds to finish second overall in the decathlon ... 2008-09:
OUTDOOR: Set a personal-best in the decathlon after totaling 6,903 points at the Big Ten Championships, an NCAA provisional qualifying mark, earning him fourth place ... Miller was the only freshman to finish in the top-10 in the event at the Big Ten Championships ... Posted a season-best height of 2.10m (6-10 3/4) in the high jump at the Big Ten Championships as a part of the decathlon ... Finished the decathlon at the Drake Relays with a score of 6,865 points ... Vaulted a height of 4.50m (14-9) at the Drake Relays.
INDOOR: Multi-event standout that set an MSU freshman record of 5,228 points in the heptathlon at the Big Ten Championships, placing fourth at the competition; Miller was one of only two freshmen to finish in the top 10 and the only freshman to finish in the top five ... Miller's 5,228 points breaks Paul Terek's freshman record of 4,945, set back in 1998; Terek was a multi-event Olympian in 2004 and two-time Big Ten athlete of the Championships ... Miller also posted 5,110 points at the ISU Classic, his second-best output of the season ... Set personal-best marks in the 60m dash (7.34), 60m hurdles (8.29), long jump (6.50m (21-4)), shot put (12.64m (41-5 ¾)), high jump (2.06m (6-9)), pole vault (3.98m (13-0 ¾)) and the 1,000m run (2:51.11).

High School:
Qualified for MHSAA State Championships in the 110m hurdles and high jump but had to withdraw due to injury ... Lettered in track in 2007 and 2008 ... Voted as the team MVP in 2007 .. Also played football, lettering in 2006 and 2007 leading the Area in sacks in 2007 ... Scholar Athlete Award recipient during his senior year.
