Polytan, Al Owens Classic on tap for this weekend

The Spartan Track & Field team hits the road this weekend with members of the squad traveling to the Polytan Invitational and the Al Owens Classic.

Spartans Compete at Siena Heights

The Spartans earned ten event victories on the women's side and four on the men's side.

High School:
Attended Blackhawk High School in Beaver Falls, Pa., where she was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track & field for Alex Duhan ... Received all-conference honors in cross country all four seasons... An all-state honoree in 2006 and 2009 when she placed fifth and 20th at the state meet, respectively ... Honored with all-district and all-conference distinction in track & field each year throughout high school ... Was an all-stater in 2007 and in 2010 ... Team finished first at districts in 2008, 2009 and 2010 ... Voted team captain in 2008 and 2009 in cross country, and 2010 in track & field.
