Polytan, Al Owens Classic on tap for this weekend

The Spartan Track & Field team hits the road this weekend with members of the squad traveling to the Polytan Invitational and the Al Owens Classic.

Spartans Compete at Siena Heights

The Spartans earned ten event victories on the women's side and four on the men's side.

OUTDOOR: Threw a personal-best 12.71m in the shot put at the Indiana University Outdoor Championship ... Placed third in the shot put, recording a distance of 12.59 and earned second in the discus throw, posting a mark of 41.89 at the Lyle Bennett Open ... Recorded a fourth-place discus throw of 45.36m at the Paddock Invitational ... Recorded a personal-best discus throw of 47.05m at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
INDOOR: Recorded a season-best shot put throw if 12.02 at the Simmons/ Harvey Invitational.

OUTDOOR: Threw a distance of 12.04m (39-6) in the shot put and 40.15m (131-8) in the discus at the Spartan Invitational.
