Sprints Lead MSU at Len Paddock Invitational

ANN ARBOR, MICH. - Michigan State wrapped weekend action at the Len Paddock Invitational at the University of Michigan earlier this evening with two event victories, both in sprinting events.
Keenan Michael was the Spartans only individual winner, taking first in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.73.
MSU's other event win came from the 4x100 relay squad of Leslie Aririguzo, Jellisa Westney, TeJuanna Williams, and Ashley Stacey who finished with a season-best time of 46.24.
Second place finishes came from Owen Hughes in the high jump, who cleared 6-8 ¾ (2.05m), Aaron Ide - who tied a personal best in the men's shot put (55-08 ½ / 16.98m), Aririguzo in the 100-meter dash (12.32), and Alicia Evans who notched a career and team best in the 200 meters (24.18).
Earning third placements for the Spartans were Ashley Stacey in the women's long jump (19-0 / 5.79m), and Antonio James in the discus (170-07 / 52.00m).
Another notable performance came from Michigan State Assistant Coach Lena Bettis, who competed unattached and earned the victory in the women's triple jump. Bettis, who was an NCAA Regional qualifier at Penn State, jumped 12.77m (41-10 ¾).
