EAST LANSING, MICH. - Members of the Michigan State Track and Field team will make their third visit of the indoor season to the University of Notre Dame to participate in the Alex Wilson Invitational. The meet serves as a "last chance" for several Spartans who hope to qualify for the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Boise, Idaho.
The event will be held at the Loftus Sports Center in South Bend, Indiana, beginning with the women's weight throw on Friday, March 2nd, at 2:00pm. The women's 60-meter hurdles will kickoff action on Saturday at 11:00am.
Making the trip from Michigan State will be Leslie Aririguzo, who broke the school record in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.26 on day one of the Big Ten Indoor Championships last weekend. She went on to place fourth in the finals the following day. Aririguzo will be looking to make the qualifying mark of 8.10. She is currently tied for 19th in the nation in the event.

A majority of the throws team will also to look to qualify, including Beth Rohl, Shatora Lewis, Lonnie Pugh, Antonio James, Jay Gillespie, Aaron Ide, and Zach Hill.
