Jurcevich Earns All-America Status in Track & Field

Buffalo, N.Y. - Michigan State track and field distance runner Jim Jurcevich, a junior, earned All-America status for the second time this year by placing ninth in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. Jurcevich completed the race in 29:08.03, his fastest time ever and good for second on the MSU all-time outdoor performance chart. At the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Jurcevich finished eighth at 5,000 meters to earn All-America honors.

Sophomore Ryan Taylor, MSU's only other representative at the Championship meet, finished ninth in the second preliminary heat of the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
