EAST LANSING, Michigan - Michigan State junior track & field student-athlete Tori Franklin was selected to represent the United States at the 2014 North America Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Franklin will compete in the triple jump on Saturday, August 9 at 8:55 p.m. ET.
"It is a great honor to be selected to represent the USA and Michigan State University in any international competition and Tori has certainly earned this opportunity," said Michigan State Director of Track & Field Walt Drenth. "This international experience will be a great way for Tori to wrap up her outdoor season. Anytime an athlete is able to compete in international competition they grow immeasurably; Tori will return to campus with a perspective that can only help her and the program moving forward."
Franklin earned her fifth career All-America honors in June at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing 13th.
