USTFCCCA Announces Division I All-Academic Student-Athletes
Coaches association recognizes 13 track & field athletes.

EAST LANSING, Michigan - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced their DI All-Academic honorees for their combined academic and athletic accomplishments on Tuesday. A total of 496 men and 727 women were honored by the USTFCCCA including two men and 11 women for the Spartans.
Caleb Rhynard (3.97) and Ben Carruthers (3.42) were recognized on the men's side. Alexis Wiersma (3.90), Julia Otwell (3.81), Adeline Grier-Welch (3.80), Melanie Brender (3.75), Lindsay Clark (3.73), Sara Stassen (3.72), Katie Landwehr (3.64), Lauren Chorny (3.60), Rachele Schulist (3.56), Erin Billette (3.38) and Sara Kroll (3.32) were recognized on the women's side.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25. They also must have at least finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event during the indoor season or for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships.
