On Sept. 13, Michigan State cross country hosted the Auto-Owners Insurance Spartan Invitational at Forest Akers East.

Finished 17th at the NCAA Championships with a time of 20:20.80, helping lead MSU to the first national championship in women's program history ... Led the Spartans to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship with a first-place time of 19:45 ... Also won the Big Ten Championship with a career-best and course-record time of 19:26.30 ... Ran a time of 19:53 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Oregon, finishing as the runner-up behind teammate Rachele Schulist ... Won the Spartan Invitational for the second straight year with a time of 21:03 ... Finished ninth at both the Roy Griak Invitational (21:30) and the Wisconsin Invitational (19:56)

Won the Spartan Invitational with a 6k time of 20:54... Turned in a runner-up finish as she ran a6k time of 20:56.90 at the Big Ten Championships... Finished fifth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional with a 6k time of 20:23... Placed 22nd with a 6k time of 20:13 at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational... Competed in the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, posting a time of 21:22.60 ... Finished 27th at the Big Ten Championships in a time of 21:00 ... Competed unattached at the EMU Fall Classic and placed seventh with a time of 18:34.7.

A four-year letterwinner at Croswell-Lexington High School ... Was the state champion in the 800m and 1600m her final two seasons ... Finished third in the state in the 800m and 1600m as a sophomore, while also finishing 13th in cross country ... As a freshman, placed sixth in the 800m at the state meet ... Team captain her senior season in both cross country and track & field.

Born on Aug. 30, 1992 ... Daughter of George and Janet O'Connor ... Has four brothers, Scott, Patrick, George III, who is currently on the cross country and track & field teams at Oakland University, and Andrew; and has one sister, Allison, who ran track & field at Central Michigan...Majoring in broadcast journalism.
