Impressed in his Spartan debut when he placed first at the Jeff Drenth Memorial with a time of 15:35.8; earning Big Ten Male Runner of the Week honors, the first Spartan male since 2006 ... Finished eighth at the Spartan Invitational with a time of 25:05 ... Clocked in at 25:33.9 at the Roy Griak Invitational ... Clocked in at 25:47.6 at Pre-Nationals.

At Siena Heights:
National Qualifier and All-WHAC team in 2008 ... Was a national qualifier in the 5000m and 10,000m in 2009 ... Finished 17th in the 10,000m event, earning all-WHAC honors.

High School:
Earned four Varsity letters in cross country and two in both swimming and track & field at Erie Mason High School ... Was selected to the 2004 and 2006 all-state team in cross country ... Three time regional champion in 3200m run and state champion in 3200 meter relay in 2007 ... Five time all-LCAA selection ... Elected captain of the cross country team in 2005 and 2006 ...
