The Michigan State men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the NCAA Pre-Nationals on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. The women's team enters the meet ranked ninth in the nation and will race at 11 a.m. while the men's squad is currently ranked 30th in the country and will run at 12:50 p.m.

Twenty one of the top 30-ranked teams will compete in the day's two women's races and 22 of the top 30-ranked teams will compete on the men's side.

Last season at the Pre-Nationals, the Spartans women's team placed third while the men's team took 23rd.

The Spartans' women's squad is off to an excellent start this season, having won their past two meets. In addition to All-American Nicole Bush, Lisa Senakiewich has also come out of the gates strong, taking first place at the Colonial Inter-Regional.

Spencer Beatty has been the top runner for the men's team this year, taking fifth place in two consecutive meets (Spartan Invitational and Colonial Inter-Regional).
