Five Spartans Earn Big Ten Conference Honors

Michigan State baseball had five players garner conference honors, the Big Ten office announced on Tuesday morning. Sophomore Jimmy Pickens led the way and was named second-team All-Big Ten. Both sophomore Blaise Salter and senior Andrew Waszak were named to the All-Big Ten third team. Cam Gibson was named to the All-Freshman team and Jordan Keur was MSU's recipient of the Sportsmanship Award.

Spartans Rally to Win at Penn State

Michigan State baseball took the series from Penn State and won 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Medlar Park. The Spartans trailed 1-0 heading into the ninth but scored two runs in the final inning to steal the win. MSU moved to 33-17 and 12-9 in the Big Ten following the win.

Baseball Falls at Penn State, 9-0

Michigan State baseball lost at Penn State on Friday afternoon, 9-0. The Spartans (32-17, 11-9) managed just seven hits in the game and gave up 17 to the Nittany Lions. MSU southpaw David Garner was tagged with the loss; he went just 2 2/3 innings and gave up six runs on 11 hits.

Spartans Smash Penn State, 16-1

Michigan State baseball cruised to a 16-1 victory over Penn State on Thursday night at Medlar Park. The Spartans (32-16, 11-8 Big Ten) had 12 hits in the game and seven different Spartans notched at least one RBI. Senior right-hander Andrew Waszak earned his sixth win of the season and allowed six hit in seven innings.

Spartans Conclude Regular Season at Penn State

Michigan State baseball finishes the regular season on the road at Penn State this weekend. The Spartans and Nittany Lions will play a three-game series set to begin on Thursday at 6:05 p.m. MSU is currently in seventh place heading into the series with the top-six advancing to the Big Ten Tournament.
