2014 (SOPHOMORE): Made the second-most appearances on the team with 29, going 3-7 with a 3.55 ERA ... Held opposing batters to a .228 batting average, the sixth-best mark in the Big Ten ... Ranked second on the team and fourth in the conference with 68 strikeouts, 22 of which were looking ... Struck out a career-high nine batters in 6.0 innings vs. Eastern Michigan (4/1) to earn his first win of the season ... His 32 runs allowed were ninth fewest in the Big Ten among qualifying pitchers, while his 55 hits allowed were tied for third ... His third start of the year came against Indiana (5/24) in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals where he struck out eight batters in 5.0 innings.
SUMMER 2013: Named the top pitching prospect in the Great Lakes League and also earned all-league and all-star accolades while pitching for the Southern Ohio Copperheads . . . ranked second in the league with nine saves and gave up just three earned runs in 19 innings of action, good for a 1.42 ERA . . . also had 22 strikeouts in helping the Copperheads to a regular-season title with a 25-15 record.
