2010 (SOPHOMORE): As the No. 3 starter in the rotation, compiled a 7-5 record, including a team-best two shutouts . . . second on the team and 10th in the conference with 88.2 innings pitched, which also ranked 10th most in an MSU single-season . . . appeared in 14 games, starting in 13 . . . only walked 17 batters against 52 strikeouts . . . struck out a season-high seven batters in a nine-hit shutout win over Southeast Missouri (3/7) in Starkville, Miss. . . . threw his second complete game shutout of the season at Notre Dame, allowing just three hits and one walk while fanning five in MSU's 3-0 victory over the Irish in South Bend (3/21).

2009 (FRESHMAN): Named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team . . . went 5-2 (2-1 in the Big Ten) with a staff-low 3.55 ERA . . . made 11 starts in 14 appearances . . . struck out a team-high 61 while walking just 12 . . . picked up his first-career collegiate win by going 7.0 innings and striking out five in a 14-5 win over Eastern Michigan (3/18) . . . struck out a season-high nine batters in MSU's 3-1 win over Western Michigan (4/15) . . . won his first Big Ten game in his first league start by giving up three earned runs, including four strikeouts in 7.1 innings, as the Spartans defeated Iowa, 14-5 (4/26) . . . also struck out nine in his last start of the season at Indiana (5/16) as he earned the win in a 7-3 Spartan victory.
