2009: Started eight games and made 13 appearances on the mound ... Went 0-4 with a 7.09 ERA ... Pitched 3.1 innings in relief against Minnesota (2/22) and gave up no earned runs off four hits ... Went 6.0 innings and tied a career high with four strikeouts in a start at Ohio State (4/12) ... Longest outing of the year (6.2 innings) came in a loss to No. 22 Clemson (3/11) where he gave up five runs off seven hits ... Recorded at least two strikeouts in seven of his 13 appearances.

2008: Started one game and made 13 relief appearances...Pitched 24.1 innings...Threw four innings in relief and gave up just one run vs. Illinois (3/29)...Struck out two in 2.2 innings vs. Northwestern (4/6)...Pitched a season-high five innings vs. Iowa (4/25)...Picked up win in start vs. Western Michigan (5/7), throwing three innings and striking out two.

High School: Two-year letterwinner for Coach George Ushela at Lyons Township High School...helped team to a 35-4 record as a junior and a 34-6 record as a senior...team won back-to-back conference titles and qualified for the state tournament his senior year...named a captain and went 8-1 with a 1.62 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 52 innings pitched as a senior...named to the all-area team as a junior and senior and earned all-conference accolades as a senior...threw a no-hitter against Montini High School in 2005...an excellent student, he earned academic all-conference honors and the Presidential Scholarship Award...was also a member of the National Honor Society...his summer team was a three-time state champion and placed seventh at the 2004 CABA World Series.
