SUMMER 2012: Helped lead the Columbia Blowfish to the Coastal Plains League Petitt Cup Championship . . . during the regular season for the Blowfish before the playoff run, Kinley fanned 23 batters in 24 innings of work and was 2-1 with a 3.75 ERA.

2012 (SOPHOMORE): Tied for team lead with six wins, all out of the bullpen . . . also had two holds . . . ranked third on the team with a 2.47 ERA . . . opponents hit just .220 against him in 47.1 innings of work . . . second on the team with 22 appearances . . . gave up only three runs in Big Ten play (1.17 ERA) . . . threw 2.2 scoreless innings of relief in NCAA Regional first-round game against Pepperdine (6/1) . . . earned saves vs. Toledo (5/9) and Penn State (5/19) . . . threw 3.2 shutout frames at Illinois (5/5) to record sixth win of the season . . . tossed 4.1 shutout innings and allowed only one hit to earn his fifth win of the year in the 11-inning victory over Minnesota (4/21) . . . struck out a career-high six and gave up just two hits in 4.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn victory against Ohio State (4/2) . . . pitched 4.2 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win against Central Michigan (3/28) . . . earned his first career win by allowing just one unearned run in 4.0 innings of relief while striking out four in MSU's 11-inning win at Furman (2/25).
