2015 (SENIOR): Second-Team All-Big Ten ... Voted the John Kobs Most Valuable Player, the Kirk Gibson Offensive Player of the Year and the Jerry Sutton Student Athlete Award winner … Posted the best season of his career as he led the conference in Big Ten play in nearly every offensive category, including: batting average (.451), slugging percentage (.857), on-base percentage (.545), RBIs (36) and home runs (10) … His 57 RBIs tied for the ninth-highest single season total in program history … Ended the year with a team-high.351 batting average … Finished the season with 13 home runs, the final of which was a go-ahead grand slam that came in the eighth inning of a 9-7 win over Nebraska in the Big Ten Tournament … Posted a career-long and team season-high 19-game hitting streak from April 17 – May 16 … Named the Big Ten Player of the Week for the first time in his career after going 5-for-6 with six RBIs in a win over Northwestern (4/12) … Went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and five RBI against Illinois on March 30 … Homered in back-to-back games at Oregon on April 4-5 … Had two doubles vs. Michigan at Comerica Park (4/14) … Recorded three RBI and a walk at Rutgers (4/17) … Homered at Rutgers on April 18 … Went 6-for-11 with five RBIs in the final series of the season at Minnesota (5/15-16).
2014 (JUNIOR): Academic All-Big Ten ... Had four games in which he recorded two doubles and his 16 on the season ranked fifth in the Big Ten ... Hit .234 with a .322 on-base percentage ... His .993 fielding percentage was the best of any position player on the team, while his 454 chances were the fourth most in the Big Ten ... Belted three home runs, all of which came in Big Ten play ... Drew four walks against Minnesota (3/30) ... Started 55 games ... SUMMER 2013: Named a Northwoods League All-Star while playing for the Lakeshore Chinooks . . . led the Chinooks with seven homers and ranked second on the team with 39 RBIs while batting .282.
