05/22/2012 Spartans Open Big Ten Tournament Against NebraskaFifth-seeded MSU will take on the fourth-seeded Huskers in the first round Wednesday at 12:05 p.m. 05/19/2012 Spartans Top Penn State on Senior Day, 9-2MSU finishes the regular season 35-19 and will be the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. Senior adds depth to the pitching staff. SUMMER 2011: Named to the Horizon Air Summer Series "All-Series" Second Team after striking out 41 batters in 40.2 innings while pitching for the Redding Colt 45s. 2011 (JUNIOR): Threw a scoreless inning at Notre Dame (5/17) during MSU's 20-3 win over the Irish in his lone appearance of the season. 2010: Sat out the 2010 season after transferring from IPFW. 2008-2009 (IPFW): Made a total of five starts and 16 appearances on the mound for the Mastadons . . . as a freshman in 2008, posted a 4.72 ERA, which was good for second on the team. HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner for Coach Wayne Welton at Chelsea High School . . . earned all-conference and all-district honors in all three seasons on the varsity squad and was a Division 2 second-team all-state selection as a senior in 2007.
