Scouting Noble: Has battled injuries the past two seasons... will contend for a starting spot, but is likely to make most of his appearances out of the bullpen... can throw a heavy, sinking fastball... has a plus out pitch with his slider... is working on becoming more consistent in the strike zone.

2004: Academic All-Big Ten honoree... made eight relief appearances during the 2004 season... had a 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched... tallied a career-high three strikeouts in 5.0 innings against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament (5/27)... held Indiana to one hit in a relief appearance to earn his first collegiate win (5/9)... posted two strikeouts each against Purdue (4/24) and Michigan (4/30).

2003: Made six relief appearances in 2003... pitched one-third of an inning in Big Ten debut against Penn State (5/17)... struck out a season-best two batters in one inning of work against Siena Heights (4/22)... made first appearance of his collegiate career against Coastal Carolina (3/3).

High School: Four-year letterwinner... named first-team all-state and all-county in his senior year... twice earned all-league, all-Catholic and all-area honors... all-area Dream Team selection... compiled 19 wins in high school, including an 8-2 mark with a 0.90 ERA as a senior... collected 70 stolen bases and 62 RBI during his high school career... led his team to the most wins in school history twice... also earned four letters in football and basketball... earned all-state honors in football and was the team MVP his senior season... captain of the football, basketball and baseball teams his senior year... member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Aug. 30, 1984, to Peter and Laura Noble... a human resources major... favorite players are Ken Griffey Jr. and Craig Biggio... biggest baseball influence is his father.
