2011 (RED-SHIRT FRESHMAN): Made 11 appearances as a red-shirt freshman, including four starts . . . went 1-4 with a 6.59 ERA in 27.1 innings pitched . . . started against Illinois in the Big Ten Championhip Game, but took the loss (2.2 IP, 4 ER, 3 H) . . . picked up his first collegiate win in a start at Central Michigan on May 11, giving up two runs and seven hits while striking out three in 5.0 innings . . . struck out a season-high five in 4.0 innings at Western Michigan (5/4).

2010: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterwinner at Brother Rice High School . . . in 2007 he was the winning pitcher in the Catholic League championship game . . . helped the Warriors to a 29-9 record and state championship as a junior in 2008 . . . as a senior, he was recognized by ESPN Rise as an All-Area Top Pitcher.
