The Spartan baseball team returns home to face Toledo on Tuesday, April 22, in the first of four home games this week at McLane Baseball Stadium. The Spartans and Rockets will meet at 3:05 p.m.

Blaise Salter continues to lead the Big Ten in doubles and ranks tied for seventh in the nation with 17, while his 34 RBIs are tied for second in the conference.
Salter brings a team-high eight-game hitting streak into Tuesday's game. His .345 batting average ranks eighth in the conference, while his .554 slugging percentage ranks fourth.
MSU has 58 stolen bases this season, which is tied with both Iowa and Michigan for the most in the Big Ten. Anthony Cheky's 21 steals lead the conference and rank 11th in the country.
Jimmy Pickens has reached base in 25 consecutive games, which is the longest streak by a Spartan since Brandon Eckerle and Jeff Holm both reached in 25 straight during the 2010 season. Pickens' .448 on-base percentage is the third best in the Big Ten.
Michigan State's pitching staff leads the Big Ten in opponent batting average at .243, while the staff's 2.94 ERA is second best in the league.
The 295 hits allowed by the Spartan pitching staff are the fewest in the Big Ten.
The Spartans have thrown out 28 runners stealing bases this season, which leads the conference.
MSU is 8-2 when playing error-free baseball and is 17-0 when carrying a lead into the ninth inning.
After going 12-3 in one-run games last season, MSU continues its success in close contests in 2014, going 7-2 in one-run games.
Michigan State has fared well at home this year, owning a 7-2 record at McLane Stadium.
