EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State baseball gets back to action with a midweek contest against Ball State on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Cooley Law School Stadium in Lansing. The game was moved due to field conditions and the flooding of the Red Cedar River.
"It's a first class organization, no doubt," head coach Jake Boss said of the Lansing Lugnuts. "Nick Grueser and his staff just do a tremendous job. They've been very accommodating to us, not only with the Crosstown Showdown but in situations like this. We've let them come out and practice here when they're facility wasn't ready. It is a good mutual relationship. To have a beautiful facility like that just down the road is a pretty big advantage for us."
The Spartans lost a Big Ten series last weekend due to snow in Minneapolis and haven't played a complete game since April 16 against Toledo. Ball State took one of three this past weekend at Miami (OH) and also topped then-No.19 Indiana last week, 5-3.
