Spartan Baseball Gameday: Western Michigan

Mike Theodore started at the Clash at Comerica that was suspended due to weather.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State travels to take on in-state foe Western Michigan today at 3:05 p.m. in Kalamazoo. The Spartans are coming off a series win over Illinois and have won four of its last six games.

Redshirt junior Mike Theodore will get the start for the Spartans. He is 0-1 on the season and took a no-decision at Eastern Michigan in his last start. Western is 15-31 on the season and took one of three from Akron last weekend.

Spartans Thump Western Michigan, 10-1
Redshirt junior Chase Rihtarchik had another solid outing and notched his fourth consecutive win on the season after allowing just one run and three hits against Western Michigan. The Spartans (18-11) defeated the Broncos, 10-1, on Tuesday afternoon at McLane Stadium and had 13 hits in the game. Junior Joel Fisher had scored two runs and had three RBIs.
