COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Michigan State baseball team will play at 3:35 p.m. Friday afternoon in the consolation bracket of the Big Ten Tournament against Ohio State.

Ohio State (33-26) defeated Nebraska, 6-2, in the first game on Friday.

Sophomore right-hander David Garner (5-3) will get the call on the mound for the Spartans. Garner is 4-0 in his Big Ten starts, but hasn't started against Ohio State or Nebraska this season. He is 1-0 in his career in the Big Ten Tournament after throwing 4 1/3 shutout innings of relief in last season's win over Minnesota.
