EAST LANSING, Mich. - Four Michigan State Spartans have been named to collegiate summer league all-star teams.

Outfielder Cam Gibson (Battle Creek Bombers), first baseman Ryan Krill (Lakeshore Chinooks) and right-handed pitcher Chase Rihtarchik (Alexandria Blue Anchors) will play in Tuesday night's Northwoods League All-Star Game, while left-handed pitcher Anthony Misiewicz was named an all-star in the Great Lakes League.

Michigan State and Florida Southern are the only two schools to have at least three all-stars in the Northwoods League.

Gibson enters the all-star game ranked fifth in the Northwood League with a .352 batting average. He also ranks among the league leaders in hits (sixth with 68), stolen bases (sixth with 22) and runs (tied for ninth with 40). A Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection, Gibson ranked third on the Spartans in batting with a .325 average in 2013.

Krill is batting .274 with six homers, nine doubles and 33 RBIs in 48 games for the Chinooks. The six homers rank second best on the team. A two-year starter at first base for the Spartans, Krill owns a .291 batting average with four homers, 19 doubles and 53 RBIs in 107 career games at MSU.

Rihtarchik, who threw a no-hitter against Oakland this past season and went 6-1 with a 2.64 ERA, is continuing his strong 2013 for Alexandria. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native is 3-1 with a 3.02 ERA in nine games for the Blue Anchors, including seven starts. He has struck out 30 batters in 41 2/3 innings.

The 2013 Northwoods League All-Star Game is set for Tuesday at 8:35 p.m. ET in Eau Claire, Wis.

Misiewicz ranks second in the Great Lakes League with nine saves and has 22 strikeouts in 17 innings pitched. Pitching for the Southern Ohio Copperheads, he has only allowed three earned runs in 13 games and owns a 1.59 ERA. Misiewicz was 5-1 in 19 appearances, including one start, and posted a 1.60 ERA in his first season with the Spartans in 2013.
