Spartan Baseball Green-White Series Opens Wednesday

*** SCHEDULE UPDATE: Wednesday's Game 1 of Green-White World Series is rained out and postponed until Thursday at 3 p.m. Same scheduled starting pitchers. ***

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State baseball will conclude its fall practice slate with the annual Green-White World Series. The three-game intrasquad exhibition series will now take place at McLane Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 12; Friday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 15. Game 1 was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but was postponed due to rain.

Thursday and Friday's games will both start at 3 p.m., with Sunday's series finale set for Noon.

Volunteer assistant coach Jordan Keur will guide the White, while former Spartan players Dakota Mekkes and Dan Durkin will lead the Green team.

Senior right-hander Jake Lowery is the White team's starter for Thursday, while junior righty Riley McCauley will be the Green team's starting pitcher. The starters for both Friday are scheduled to be a match-ups between sophomore right-handers in Caleb Sleeman for the Green team and Mike Mokma for the White. Sunday's starters are TBA.
