Spartan Baseball Holiday Camp Information
MSU baseball program will host an advanced hitting clinic on Dec. 3 and three camps on Dec. 4.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball program has announced dates and times for its upcoming holiday camps.
On Saturday, Dec. 3, MSU will host an advanced hitting clinic from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Indoor Practice Facility at McLane Baseball Stadium. The clinic, which is for the serious ballplayer from grades 9-12, will center around the "5 Foundations of Hitting" and will also cover the components of the "complete hitter." The cost of the camp is $100 and registration will be held at the Indoor Practice Facility.
On Sunday, Dec. 4, there will be three camps available: kids camp (ages 8-13) from 9-11 a.m.; hitting camp from 12-2:30 p.m.; and pitching camp from 3-5 p.m. The cost of one session is $80, two sessions is $150 and all three sessions is $200.
The Spartan Comprehensive Kids Camp from 9-11 a.m. covers knowledge of all aspects of baseball. Each camper will be given instruction and put through various drills to enhance knowledge of the game.
The hitting camp from 12-2:30 p.m. will cover complete fundamentals in hitting. Each camper will be given instruction along with various hitting drills to enhance their offensive game.
The pitching camp from 3-5 p.m. covers various drills and mechanics to help create an efficient delivery. Camp will cover arm care, drills and pitcher fielding practice.
All camps on Sunday will take place in the Duffy Daugherty Football Indoor Building and/or the Indoor Practice Facility located next to McLane Baseball Stadium. A confirmation e-mail will be sent acknowledging receipt of payment and will include specific instructions. Please allow 5-7 working days for a response.
All campers will receive instruction from the Spartan baseball coaching staff, including head coach and 2011 Big Ten Coach of the Year Jake Boss, associate head coach Mark Van Ameyde, assistant coach Graham Sikes and volunteer assistant coach Jake Boss Sr., along with possible members of the MSU baseball team and others to be announced. In addition, an athletic trainer will be present at all camps.
