EAST LANSING, Mich. - Jordan Keur, who finished his playing career with the Spartans this past spring, has signed a contract with the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League.
Keur, who is making a comeback from a torn Achilles' tendon in April during a win over Indiana, was the Spartans' captain last season. The four-year letterwinner posted a career-batting average of .315 and also drove in 78 runs while wearing the Green and White.
As a junior, Keur earned All-Big Ten First Team honors after leading the team with a .353 batting average, which ranked eighth in the conference. In starting all 60 games, the Hudsonville native also ranked among the Big Ten leaders in hits (second with 89), on-base percentage (fifth at .432) and runs (tied for eighth with 47) in 2012.
The Washington Wild Things are located in the Pittsburgh suburb of Washington, Pa.
