The Big Ten Network announced coverage of the 2014-15 Big Ten men's basketball season on Tuesday, including 77 conference match-ups. The Spartans will appear on Big Ten Network 12 times in 2014-15, including eight conference games.
The Michigan State men's basketball schedule was announced on Thursday. The Spartans will face a schedule that includes 13 opponents that appeared in the 2014 postseason, play six of their first eight games away from East Lansing, and make trips to Rutgers and Maryland in their inaugural year of Big Ten basketball, while hosting Maryland in the first ever Big Ten game for the Terrapins.
Michigan State junior guard Bryn Forbes has been granted an NCAA waiver and is eligible to play for the Spartans in the upcoming 2014-15 season. A native of Lansing, Michigan, Forbes will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after transferring from Cleveland State to Michigan State in June.
The bracket for the 2014 Orlando Classic - to be played Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 27, 28 & 30 at HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World resort near Orlando, Fla. - has been set. Michigan State will open against Rider on Thanksgiving night at 6:30 (ESPN2).
