The Spartan women's golf team won the 2011 Big Ten Championship on April 24. MSU, who earned its ninth championship all-time, was led by top-5 finishes from Caroline Powers and Lindsey Solberg. Complete Release

Spartans Move On To Elite Eight
Freshman Paul Davis hit a leaning bank shot with 4.7 seconds left as Michigan State defeated defending champion Maryland 60-58 Friday night to advance to the South Regional final. Davis' powerful dunk tied the score with 50.6 seconds left, and he put the Spartans ahead when he muscled along the baseline for the game-winning basket. More

Spartans Advance To Sweet 16
Michigan State lost the hotshot guard to Florida, but that's where the losing stopped. Stung and shocked when Anthony Roberson chose the Gators over his home-state Spartans, Michigan State held the freshman guard scoreless Sunday as part of a stunningly easy 68-46 win in the second round.

Spartans Cruise Past Colorado In First Round
Tom Izzo's message was simple. Remember last year, he kept telling his players, and Michigan State would be just fine. Playing with the poise and tenacity expected of them in March under Izzo, the Spartans washed away the bad taste of last year's early exit from the NCAA tournament, beating Colorado 79-64 Friday night in the first round of the South Regional.
